FOCUS 360°
dance medicine

Focus 360° – the skills network for dance and kinetic medicine – was initiated by Marlen Schumann and Léonore Boesch. In exchange with other agents from the fields of sports science, physiotherapy and dance we work on ideas for the development of the network and associated events.

The initial aim is a regional network of healthcare professionals, teachers and trainers that provides specific knowledge on the one hand, and acts as a point of contact for dance and physical activity agents on the other. It should address professional dancers as well as people from the amateur dance sector and amateur and professional agents from other movement arts.

Based on the areas of activity sought after (treatment, knowledge transfer, prevention), we want to create an offer not yet available in this form in Saxony. At the moment we are working on expanding the network to be able to offer dance and movement professionals in the Leipzig region recommendations for medical and therapeutic services. Furthermore, workshops and advisory formats are planned in which knowledge and specific know-how will be passed on.
